Kenwood

Iconic, revolutionary, peerless - these words are frequently overused in a world of bombastic hype and promotion. However, when Kenneth Wood launched the first Kenwood Chef at the Ideal Home Exhibition in 1950, these words came to typify the company. Since then, Kenwood has gone from strength to strength, adapting to a changing world and becoming a brand known the world over for quality and considered design.

“I can’t imagine an alternative to Havant; we have a fantastic and adaptable site, great rail connections and easy parking on site”

Kenwood moved to its Havant home in 1962, where it had built the UK’s most advanced manufacturing plant to meet its exacting needs. Expanding into a wide range of kitchen goods – all of which followed the company’s ideology of producing elegant products for life – their products are now established in over 40 countries. With a product line of over 200, it has continually embraced the changing requirements of its audiences and adapted accordingly. Whether the classic Kenwood Chef, or the app-augmented Cookeasy+ all in one cooker, the company works hard to understand its audiences and produce quality products exacting to their needs.

Now part of the family-run Delonghi group – a company with a 2 billion Euro annual turnover - Havant is home to a 300-strong workforce responsible for the design, engineering, product development and marketing of the entire Kenwood product line. Highly trained staff provide formidable output with meticulous attention to detail gleaned through research, advanced modelling, prototyping and product testing. Havant is also the home of the UK sales and marketing subsidiary that sells Delonghi group products.

Although a world-wide brand, their Havant location provides Kenwood with some excellent business benefits. Their site is enviable and scalable to their needs, and transport connectivity – international and national – is excellent. Located near Havant railway station, their home is just an hour away by train from Gatwick Airport. A premium site and an excellent location – Havant meets the high standards of such a prestigious household name.
